Welcome to "2019 Zhuhai International Forum on Big Data Applications for Smart Society and Intellectual Innovation”. Below is information for the forum in order for providing you better service for the event: 

1. Forum registration/check-in is scheduled from 9:00-11:00AM, July 9th, 2019 at the place of the 1st Floor of Building 2 of Wenhuayuan Training Apartment, Zhuhai Campus International Exchange Center (Zhuhai Jinghuayuan Hotel)

2. The hotel room has been reserved for you, you can check in after registration.

For July 9th, the forum organizes such activities as first visiting the Hengqin New District Exhibition Hall in the afternoon and then taking cruise to Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and having reception dinner on the cruise. If you do not plan to participate in these activities, please inform the forum service team immediately, as we need count the total number of the participants for seat booking. 

4. The main forum is hosted at Room 101, Reed Education Building, Lijiao Building, Zhuhai Campus of Beijing Normal University, starting from 9:00 AM of July 10th.

Introduction 

With astonishing development of Internet, 4G / 5G Communication Networks, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Block Chains and other emerging information technology, the 21st century has stepped in a deeply revolutionary era with rich information. Development of cities, industries and technology calls for smart AI services and innovative applications with big data analytics, translating the technology to forming more productive city management and decision-making solutions. Surely, it can also strategically meet the demand of constructing and developing new smart cities with high-quality innovations for China. 

Answering for the strategic demand for new-era city innovation and sustainable development, the “2019 Zhuhai International Forum on Big Data Applications for Smart Society and Intellectual Innovation” takes places. The forum is jointly hosted by multiple institutes, including MIT Human Dynamics Laboratory, Capital Institute of Science and Technology Development Strategy, Beijing Key Lab of Study on Sci-Tech Strategy for Urban Green Development, China Institute of Innovation and Development of Beijing Normal University and Digital China Holdings Limited, with assistance by the R & D Experimental Service Base of Beijing Normal University. 

With all-round support by Beijing Normal University, Prof. Alex “Sandy” Pentland from MIT, Prof. Chenghua Guan, Director of Beijing Key Lab of Study on Sci-Tech Strategy for Urban Green Development, and Mr. Wei Guo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Digital China Holdings Limited, co-founded the International 4 

Joint Laboratory of City Innovation and meanwhile initiated the International Joint Project for Intellectual City Innovation in 2017. We summon this forum upon the very need calling for big data application and city innovation, aiming to promote further the joint projects, deepen the cooperation among all parties, and explore relevant issues on constructing of smart society and utilizing big data approaches for city innovation and productivity. 

Converging on this forum are well-known experts, scholars and industry leaders, coming from various famous universities and institutions (e.g., the Development Research Center of the State Council, China Development Bank, the Research Institute of the Ministry of Commerce, MIT, CXI International Data and AI Alliance, Oxford University, Beijing Normal University, Hong Kong University, and Tongji University) and from domestic leading enterprises, like China Mobile, HUAWEI, and Digital China. The participant experts will contribute a series of in-depth discussions on the status quo and cutting-edge trends of key technologies in construction of smart society/city and innovative application with big data. The forum dedicates talks on "Smart Society/City and Intelligent Innovative Decision Technology Development", "Trust Data and Security", "Application of Big Data on Human Behavior", "Citizen-centered Living Labs" and "the Roles of Enterprises in Construction of Smart Cities" as well as other relevant topics for knowledge sharing. Gathering the consensus of the experts, representatives of government and leading enterprises, the forum plans to initiate "the Industry-University-Research Institute Alliance for Future City Innovation and Big-data Applications", to promote the transition to smart governance and dynamic decision-making tactics for modern society and future cities, and to accelerate innovatively synergetic development of regions. 5
